Hello
Hi! I’m Bri Pearson, mom of two with another little one on the way and the founder of Playtopia.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was an elementary teacher and vice principal. Teaching was a huge part of my identity, so stepping away from my career, even though it was always my plan to be home with my kids, was a big adjustment. I found myself missing the sense of purpose, structure, and connection that came with my classroom.
Playtopia has become my creative outlet, blending my love for teaching, my passion for community, and my desire to make it easier for families to get out, play, and connect. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when families come together, and I want to keep creating those opportunities for others.
Playtopia is always evolving and growing, and I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas. This space is built for parents to help you find connection, explore your community, and make memories together.
My Story
After becoming a mom, I immediately felt a need for connection and joined my church’s moms group. There, I quickly realized I wasn’t alone. So many moms were asking the same questions like “What do we do all day?” and “Where can we go with our kids?” and longing for community.
To help, I started printing calendars of local toddler-friendly events and sharing them with other moms. The response was amazing and it was clear there was a real need for something like this. That’s when the idea for Playtopia was born — a digital space where parents can easily find things to do and connect with others in their community.
With my background in education, I began hosting family play events filled with crafts, games, and activities. These gatherings quickly became something special, not just for the kids but for the parents too. Friendships began to form and a true sense of community started to grow.
Playtopia has brought me so much joy and connection, both personally and for my family. It’s my way of helping others find the same support and friendships that made such a difference in my own motherhood journey.
